All things related to volunteering in Honduras.Announcements
Some Siouxland college students and other community members gathered together to help feed families in Honduras.
Students at Morningside College and Briar Cliff University packed meals for needy families that live in Honduras as part of the "Then Just Feed One" mobile packing program.
The meals contain a bag of rice, dried chicken, soy protein, and other vitamins that help people gain weight.
Students say they are happy to give back and serve others.
"This is an opportunity where they can come for 10 minutes and be able to serve people and be able to do good for someone besides themselves," Corinne Youngberg, a Morningside Senior said .
"Yeah this is fun, I'm volunteering and helping people but actually going to Honduras and seeing the people that this is going to and just the community made me want to do anything I could to help them from here in Iowa," said Grace McElroy, a Briar Cliff University Sophomore.
Once the meals are packed up, they will be sent to Honduras to be distributed to needy families.
