Mitt Romney Wins New Hampshire Primary

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has been declared the winner of the New Hampshire Republican Primary. With 100 percent of the state's precincts reporting, Mr. Romney has received 39.3 percent of the votes, followed by Texas Congressman Ron Paul with 22.9 percent, former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman with 16.9 percent, former Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich with 9.4 percent, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum with 9.4 percent, and Texas Governor Rick Perry with less than 1 percent. The polls closed at 8:00 pm last night. More than 230,000 residents of the Granite State voted in the first GOP Primary, compared to a record turnout of 240,000 in 2008.
