The government of Manuel Zelaya subscribed to Petrocaribe in August 2008. Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez suspended Petrocaribe oil shipments to Honduras in July 2009 shortly after Mr. Zelaya was ousted as president. Crude oil prices closed Monday on world markets at US$86.62 per barrel. (4/6/10)
